This Standard covers prefabricated septic tanks and sewage holding tanks of steel, concrete, fibreglass-reinforced plastic, or polyethylene construction that are designed to handle domestic sewage. This Standard provides the minimum requirements for materials, design, capacities, dimensions, workmanship, tests, and markings. The standard for sewage holding tanks for recreational vehicles is located within the B45 series.
